Forest Escapes – Guest Information & Policies

Welcome to Forest Escapes Koyna, a serene retreat in the heart of a wildlife-rich, eco-sensitive zone. We care deeply about nature and your comfort. Please take a moment to read our policies to ensure a safe, sustainable, and enjoyable stay.

Check-in & Check-out

 

• Check-in: 1:00 PM
• Check-out: 10:00 AM
• Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and at the discretion of the resort.

Documents Required

 

• Guests must present the following at check-in:
  • Booking confirmation via email/SMS (with Booking ID)
  • Valid photo ID with address (Driver’s License, Voter ID, Passport, or Ration Card) for all Guests, including Children.
• Note:
  • All reservations require 100% advance payment.
  • Bookings are subject to government regulations at the time of check-in. In case of a lockdown or natural calamities, bookings may be rescheduled.
  • The resort reserves the right to cancel or modify reservations in cases of fraud, misuse, or booking errors.

Cancellation Policy

 

• We are unable to accept cancellations, and advance payments are non-refundable.
• In case of unforeseen circumstances, if you inform us at least 1 day in advance, we can reschedule your stay within 180 days, subject to availability and any difference in rates.
• Please note that no refunds or adjustments are possible for bookings between 20 December – 5 January, Diwali, and long weekends.

Guests & Visitors

 

• Extra Person Charges: Applicable for anyone above 5 years of age; mattress provided.
• Visitor Policy: INR 2,000 + taxes per visitor, including one meal, with a maximum stay of 2 hours. Non-residential guests cannot access rooms.
• Right to Admission: Management may deny admission or ask guests to leave for the safety and comfort of others.

Dining & Meal Plans

 

• Meals are served a la carte, buffet, or TDH, depending on occupancy.
• Meal Plans:
  • EP: Room only
  • CP: Room + Breakfast
  • MAP: Room + Breakfast + Dinner
  • AP: Room + Breakfast + Lunch + Hi-Tea + Dinner
• Meal Timings:
  • Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
  • Lunch: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
  • Hi-Tea: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Dinner: 8:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Room Service: Available at management discretion, may be limited on peak days.
  • Forest Bar: Well-stocked; liquor served at reasonable rates.
  • Outside Food: Not allowed.

Eco-Friendly Practices & Wildlife Safety

 

• Forest Escapes is located in a wildlife-rich, eco-sensitive zone. Please help us keep Koyna green and beautiful.
• Towels & Linen: Provided at check-in and refreshed every 3 days to save water and reduce chemical use.
• Housekeeping: Daily between 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
• Plastic-Free Stay: We do not provide disposable amenities. Guests are encouraged to bring toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers.
• Noise & Fireworks: Firecrackers and loud music are strictly prohibited.
• Wildlife Safety: For the safety and security of our guests, it is highly recommended to stay indoors after midnight. Forest Escapes is located in a wildlife zone near a biodiversity hotspot. You may encounter various animals, including snakes, insects, and mosquitoes. Most snakes in the area are non-venomous and prefer to avoid humans. Our trained staff are prepared to safely handle any rare encounters with venomous snakes, so there’s no need to worry.
• Insect Activity: Most insects are active between 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Please keep mesh doors/windows closed. Insect repellents are available on request.

Swimming Pool

 

• Operational: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Proper swimwear is mandatory. Swimming in T-shirts, sarees, salwars, long trousers, or any clothing not deemed swimwear is strictly not allowed.
• Children must be accompanied by adults at all times.

Parking & Vehicle Policy

 

• Self-driven vehicles: Parking is available inside the resort.
• Vehicles with drivers: Parking is available at Riverside Inn.
• During high occupancy, no vehicles will be allowed inside the resort; all parking will be at Riverside Inn.
• Important: Parking is at the owner’s risk; the resort management is not responsible for any theft or damage to vehicles.

Other Policies

 

• Guests must not damage property or belongings; any damage will be charged.
• All activities are subject to weather conditions.
• Meal and activity rates are subject to change; prevailing rates at check-in apply.
