Things to Know Before Booking – The Conservancy Bungalow


Check-In & Check-Out

For the safety, hygiene, and comfort of all our guests, early check-ins or late check-outs cannot be accommodated. Please follow the timings mentioned online and in your confirmation email.


House Rules

 
  • To ensure a safe and enjoyable stay, please take note:
    • The bungalow is secluded and surrounded by dense vegetation.
    • No commercial activities (photo shoots, filming, etc.) are allowed.
    • Guests cannot invite additional visitors or day guests.
    • Bachelor groups and stag parties are not allowed.
    • Parties and loud music are prohibited.
    • Alcohol consumption is allowed only within limits.
    • Illegal activities (including drugs, firearms, or weapons) are strictly prohibited. Management may report violations to authorities.
    • Smoking is prohibited inside the bungalow or rooms.
    • The water pond is unguarded; children must be accompanied by adults.
    • Guests are responsible for personal belongings; management is not liable for loss, theft, or damage.
    • Extra person charges apply.
    • Guests above 18 years must carry a government-approved photo ID (Aadhar, Driving License, Passport).
    • Violation of rules may result in refusal of booking or asking guests to leave.


Eco-Friendly Practices & Wildlife Safety

 
  • The Conservancy Bungalow is located in a wildlife-rich, eco-sensitive zone. Please help us preserve Koyna’s natural beauty:
    • Towels & Linen: Provided at check-in and refreshed every 3 days to conserve water and reduce chemical use.
    • Housekeeping: Available daily from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
    • Plastic-Free Stay: Disposable amenities are not provided. Guests are encouraged to bring their own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers.
    • Noise & Fireworks: Firecrackers and loud music are strictly prohibited.
    • Wildlife Safety: Stay indoors after midnight. You may encounter snakes, insects, and mosquitoes. Most snakes are non-venomous; staff are trained for rare venomous encounters.
    • Insect Activity: Most insects are active between 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Keep mesh doors/windows closed. Insect repellents are available on request.
  • Following these practices helps preserve Koyna’s biodiversity for future generations.


Food Options


AP Package (All Meals)

 
  • Breakfast: 2 main items, eggs, fruit, bread, cereals, tea/coffee.
  • Lunch: 2 veg mains, 1 non-veg main, salad, curd, chapatti/bhakri, rice, dessert.
  • Hi-Tea: 1 snack, tea/coffee, cookies.
  • Dinner: DIY BBQ (veg & non-veg), 2 veg mains, 1 non-veg main, chapatti/bhakri, rice, dessert.


CP Package (Breakfast Only)

 
  • Breakfast: 2 main items, eggs, fruit, bread, cereals, tea/coffee.
  • Extras:
    • Lunch: ₹700 + GST
    • Hi-Tea: ₹200 + GST
    • Dinner with BBQ: ₹900 + GST
  • Optional:
    • Food can be ordered from nearby restaurants:
      • Kokum Restaurant (The Conservancy Bungalow) – Multi-cuisine, including local specialties; alcohol served.
      • Riverside Inn – Pure veg meals, wood-fired pizzas, baked goods.
  • BBQ can be arranged with prior notice at an additional charge.
  • Caretaker will assist with placing orders and serving food.

Cancellation Policy

 
  • We are unable to accept cancellations, and advance payments are non-refundable.
  • In case of unforeseen circumstances, if you inform us at least 1 day in advance, we can reschedule your stay within 180 days, subject to availability and any difference in rates.
  • Please note: No refunds or adjustments are possible for bookings during 20 December – 5 January, Diwali, or long weekends.


Staff & Driver Accommodation

 
  • Available on a chargeable basis at Riverside Inn, 5 minutes from the bungalow.
